Pre-K
Pre-K consists of up to 18 four and five year olds. There is one lead teacher as well as two assistants. This class focuses on preparing students for kindergarten by teaching them necessary skills such as writing their name, conducting numerous science experiments, and practicing language skill with vocabulary building activities. They have a “letter of the week” and also learn many folk songs and nursery rhymes. Students focus on developing physical coordination and strength through yoga, organized games and calisthenics. Each May, students take part in a graduation ceremony.
