Toddlers

Toddlers days revolve around books, holidays or weather, and include directed gross motor play, tactile experimenting with play-doh or fingerpaint, music and dance. Teachers focus on building vocabulary skills, social development through cooperative play and practicing fine motor skills. In this class, students begin to venture outside the classroom to eat in the cafeteria, journey up the stairs for special events and take walks outside. Playground time is vital to a happy day, and toddlers have a chance to enjoy free play on their playground twice a day, weather permitting.
